Minesweeping Inspired by a Toy

We like to follow Dezeen Magazine pretty closely. You probably notice that we retweet them pretty often on our Twitter account, and for good reason. They always seem to show us some absolutely amazing architectural work, and consistently publish high-quality content.

Today we bring you a video from Dezeen, which is a presentation by young designer Massoud Hassani about his innovative minesweeping devices that spawned from his childhood toys. The video is somewhat boring, but if you can bear it, it presents some very interesting concepts. Enjoy!

Peter Zumthor Interview

Today on YouTube we stumbled across this cool video from Dezeen Magazine which we thought was great, and we definitely wanted to share it with you.

Peter Zumthor is one of the most noteworthy architects in his respective profession, and he’s been around for a long time. Not only is Peter noteworthy, but he is extremely well-respected.

The interview that we found offers some great perspective on Peter’s design philosophy and gardens. Yes, gardens. Gardens can sometimes be forgotten in an architectural sense, but Zumthor enjoys integrating them into his work.

Paul Priestman and Hotels

In the past we’ve blogged about and shared products by Paul Priestman of Priestmangoode, but today we bring you a dialog by the well-known designer.

Priestman’s philosophy is about more than just hotels or hospital wards, but the service industry as a whole. Watch the video and listen to Priestman as he definitely has some great insight into the service industry.
